Who writes these guides

Guides on PDF Editing Tools are written and maintained by the PDF Editing Tools Editorial Team — the same people who build and maintain the tools themselves. We don't publish under invented author names or fabricated credentials; where a guide is attributed to "PDF Editing Tools Editorial Team," that reflects a collective, internal editorial process rather than a single named author.

How tool-related claims are tested

Every factual claim in a guide about what a PDF Editing Tools tool does — what it changes, what it preserves, what its limitations are — is checked directly against the tool's current behavior before publishing, using the same test fixtures and workflows covered by our automated test suite. We do not describe a capability a tool doesn't actually have, and we update a guide's "Good to know" or limitations sections whenever a tool's behavior changes.

How technical claims are reviewed

Claims about privacy, encryption, OCR accuracy, and digital signatures are reviewed against the underlying library behavior (pdf.js, @cantoo/pdf-lib, Tesseract.js) rather than general assumptions about what PDF tools "usually" do. If a claim can't be verified against actual tool behavior, it's either removed or qualified rather than stated as fact.

Why we publish guides

Guides exist to answer real questions people have while using these tools — not primarily to rank for keywords. A guide that doesn't help someone accomplish their task isn't worth publishing, regardless of its search value.
